Wellness care encompasses all we do for you and your pet when it’s not sick or hurting. This includes routine physical examinations and consultations, vaccinations, wellness laboratory services, flea, tick and heartworm prevention and other diagnostics to provide a complete picture of your pet’s health.

Radiology/Ultrasound(Back to Top)
X-rays (radiographs) are performed on a daily basis and are an integral part of the diagnosis process. We are able to perform routine x-rays of dogs and cats as well as avian and exotics. Contrast studies of the urinary and intestinal tract are performed as needed.
We also have the ability to provide specialty service ultrasounds, generally twice a month. We have a team of board certified specialist that are available to perform and diagnose with the ultrasound. This is a non-invasive way of evaluating oragans and structures to better allow a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Laboratory tests and other diagnostics are invaluable to us for the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diseases. We provide both in-house and out-sourced blood and urine tests, x-rays, EKG’s, blood pressure monitoring, etc. Wellness lab screenings, senior lab profiles as well as specific disease tests are performed daily.

When compared to human aging and life spans, most pets become older faster. Therefore, we adhere to a philosophy of Senior at 7 years old. Just as human senior citizens need more, and specific care, so do aging pets. Yearly senior lab-work, x-rays, EKG’s, special diets, arthritis treatments, etc. are just a few of the Senior services we provide.

Routine dental care is a must for all dogs and cats. Tartar, plaque and oral bacteria lead to gingivitis, periodontal disease, infections, abscesses, pain, bad breath, etc., and can lead to serious life threatening infections of the heart, kidney’s, liver and other organs. Most pets require dental treatments of cleaning and scaling the teeth, polishing and fluoride application every year. Lifelong proper dental care can extend your pet’s life by several years.

We are extremely sensitive to alleviating pain, discomfort and suffering of our patients. We have established pain management protocols for surgical, arthritic, traumatic, and chronic pain.

Spay, Neuter and Declaw(Back to Top)
The most common surgical procedures are those of spaying, neutering and declawing. We recommend all of these be performed with the surgical laser to virtually eliminate pain, discomfort and bleeding. All of our surgical procedures have pre-anesthetic lab-work performed to determine if our anesthetic protocol is correct and if the patient has any pre-existing conditions that might preclude surgery at that particular time. All surgeries have the pulse, heart rate, and oxygen saturation of the blood monitored constantly. Additionally, all patients are placed on pain management protocols.

The computerized microchip is encased in a biocompatible material with no moving parts to break or quit working, and will not cause an abnormal immune response. In the event your pet is lost a definitive identification can be made and your pet returned to your family and home.

We gladly accept your pets into our boarding facilities. We have separate regions for dogs and cats to keep unwanted noise and stress levels low. We provide multiple daily walks and exercise and feed a high quality scientifically designed diet. However, we request that whenever possible, bring your pet’s food so diet continuity can be maintained. We will feed the diet you provide and on the same schedule. Fresh water is available to your pet at all times.

We have a fully stocked pharmacy of medications needded to provide the very best for your pet. Pharmaceutical management of pet diseases & disorders are equal to the human counterparts, allowing us to cure or control your pet's medical conditions. For those medications that we may not carry, we utilize an online Pharmacy Service to provide those supplies and deliver them to your home at no extra charge. Prescription diets will be available at the Centre also, and others will be available at the online Pharmacy for purchase and delivery for a small fee.

One of the most exciting recent advancements in veterinary medicine is the use of surgical lasers. All routine, as well as advanced surgeries are accomplished resulting in virtually no pain or bleeding, as the blood vessels and nerve endings are sealed. We recommend all surgical procedures be performed using the surgical laser.

We transmit patient information to specialists and referral doctors regarding digitally captured lesions, x-rays, tissue samples, etc., for further diagnostics and second opinions.

Skin diseases are extremely common in pets, but may be difficult to diagnose and treat. Disorders can range from simple fleabite dermatitis to serious skin cancer. In addition to diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases we also provide blood allergy testing, allergy vaccines, and medicating baths.

In our efforts to provide the best possible care for your pet, we utilize our telemedicine abilities to have all cardiology cases we work up to be overseen by a board certified veterinary cardiologist and radiologist. We recognize their specialty in interpretation of EKG’s, x-rays, and necessary lab-work and possibly the use of echocardiograms (ultrasound) and treatment protocols.

We are capable of diagnosis and management of neurological disorders including seizures, spinal pain and trauma, neuromuscular disorders, etc. Specialized surgery and tests such as CT scanning, MRI, and electrodiagnostic testing will be recommended as appropriate.

Emergency Services
We accept emergency visits any time during normal business hours. Animals, just like people, can’t schedule their illnesses or plan their injuries. We appreciate your understanding when occasional emergencies may cause a brief delay in being seen.
